      im new here

I just stumbled on to this site, and it looks right up my alley. I just started working on my 80 T/A again. I have a 20 year history with car and it is my prize possetion. My dad bought the car when i was 12 for a father son project. It was the first car i ever worked on and the first one i ever drove. Few years later due to financial reasons he sold the car. When i was 19 I was able to talk the owner into selling it back to me (after years of harassment). And for the last 12 years it has been sitting in my garage in pieces waiting for me to get it back out.

Nice! I had a 1980 TA back in the day - although it was the wimp 301 4V / TH350 combo... You have the 403 Olds in it?

not unless he swapped it- the '80 was only available w/ a 305 (5.0)chevy, a 301(4.9) pontiac, or 301(4.9) turbo. '79 was the last year for the 400 pontiac and 403 olds.

      My bad. You think I'd know that since I've had a W-code '80 T/A, a Y-code '79 Esprit, and an R-code '77...
