      No More Lurking

Well, as I've finally started the disassembly of my Studebaker (yeah, that's right, a Stude :3gears: ), I figuired I'd get the intro out of the way.

I'm 41 and work as an independent insurance appraiser/adjuster in the Detroit area. I've raced in SCCA Improved Touring with a Suzuki Swift GTi and I'm currently building another Swift to run H Production.

The project is a '64 Studebaker Daytona hardtop. I bought the car as a roller in Lake Tahoe in July of '03. I've been planning the project for the last couple of years and started tearing into over the weekend. Was able to get the front clip off and have everything boxing, baggied and labeled. I also have a long 'Wanted' list just for the front clip (right fender, lower front panel, front bumper assembly, etc.). A few other things like the grille and radiator support I'll get cleaned up this week.

Glad to be here and hope the project stays on course .

Ahh,... The "Dare to be Different" crowd is growing... Glad to have you on the site. The Daytona will look good when you get it "adjusted".

Thanks guys. Yeah, I think I'm one of the founding fathers in the 'Dare To Be Different' club. But I didn't want to blend in with 4000 Camaros so Stude it is .
