Need help selecting gear ratio
Well this is my set up 12 bolt with 4.11 gears 18 inch wheels tire size 265-35-18 BFG 4L60 trans the car dies out at 70 mph gears too tall tires to short looking for a good in between setup love highway driving just high revs at 75-80 mph so its pretty much local cruising for me, oh and it sucks up the gas on the highway thanks in advance for all the help

3.42's: 80 mph @ 2550 rpm
3.23's: 80 mph @ 2400 rpm
3.08's: 80 mph @ 2300 rpm

What about 3:73 @ 80 mph?
What should I expect RPM wise?
I am running an old style T10.

ertoys you didnt mention a tire size so this is roughly what you would be at with 3.73 with 25" and 26" tires assuming your final gear ratio in your tranny is 1.00 since you said its a 4 speed T-10.
3.73 gears - 4speed tranny
25" tire 4,010 RPM @ 80mph
26" tire 3,856 RPM @ 80mph
