Saw something from lT engine on older SBC,,,, will it work ok

ok so I see a friends care and he is running an older engine but using the LT1 hub and balancer then made a hub to olt onto that to run his water pump till his electric comes in.
As fare as i have found/remembered there should be no issues but figured I might as well ask if anyone else has done similar.
I am building a long rod 302 using a modified LT1 intake and was looking at the low mount type 2 GM pump mounts. As I have ideas of mounting other things and as far as i have read the LT is balnced smae as the older engines as the flywheels interchange and the LT balancer is just that, a balncer.
The seals are the same are the crank hunbs similar? I am not anywhere near my one and only LT crank to check.
      Thanks.
