I have a 68 as well. I found a player install kit at Fry's. I believe its for a Mazda (single DIN or double). I plan to try and use it upside down (because it's set at the right angle). Then below it I've fabbed up a panel out of aluminum for the gauges. I'll post a picture once its done.

Complete failure with my solution. The angle is still too steep for the gauges, even in the Autometer off-sets are still facing down too much. The install kit was close, but still not good enough. I'm now working a solution similar to "Bad Penny", an extended framed box that will result in a vertical face. Can't decide whether I'll construct from aluminum, sheet metal or plastic.

I think you're best off going with a radio with a remote CD changer. You could either mount the CD changer in the glove box or trunk.

Yea, i thought about that, but the complete stock look isn't for me, I love my blue led's that show on the radio screen to be honest. Plus I have decided to make my car glow in the dark, with led strips that can be turn on and off by remote. So it will have a unique feel
