factory ac box cover

hey guys i am paintin the engine bay of my 88 monte ss and i am trying to think of some good ways to make the factory ac box on my firewall look good
they arent that pretty and i have thrown the idea of a aluminum painted cover that has something to match the other side
just curios if anyone has made anything or has pics of some done up in a way to make them look better
