      Powdercoating Subframe...

Anyone know of a good place in eastern PA, or the tristate area that does powdercoating that i can take my subframe too. Also im doing a blue on white scheme with the paint. Think it might be a cool idea to get the subframe powdercoated blue instead of black, what do you guys think?

I do not like powder coating subframes, they are always pitted and the powder coat amplifies the flaws. Priming and painting allows you to fill and sand those flaws, before you paint.

In CT. I had my whole subframe and suspension components done by them. They can do pretty much any color too.

Check out www.vanindustries.com, they're up here in Birdsboro (between Pottstown and Reading). About 2 hours away depending on traffic. I haven't had anything done there but I was looking for places in the area and they came up...looks like they have the capability to do a complete subframe.

I agree with the paint VS. the powder coating. They require the same prep anyway. After you realize the amt of attaching parts that will require the matching treatment you will be into it for about $1000. Paint it and you can match any color you want. Try a 755 gloss as a contrast and easier repair.
