Gas Tank - stainless vs. zinc coated

Is it worth the extra $$ for stainless over zinc-coated? Thanks.

I just went through this. I built my car with a brand new oem type tank that I had clear powder coated, using a robbmc 8an sending unit. Considering I'm planning to track the car some this year, I ordered a ricks stainless tank. The tank quality was excellent. However, the tank was 2 1/2 inches deeper in the front, making it flush with the bottom of the diff and lower than the axles by a good margin. This created a tie down issue as well as just seeming too low. I went back to my oem tank. If I were running fi, I would have to really think about my options.
