LS1 brakes on 69 Firebird

Does anyone know if LS1 rear disk brakes will work on a 69 Firebird with the original Pontiac axle?

Yes, it will work. John Leland did it on his 67 Firebird, check out his web site (http://john.my67.net/Suspension.htm) towards the bottom of the page. I installed one on my Firebird as well based on his design, but mine is not running yet.

edit: I saw that your car is a 69, but I think the axle is the same design.
