      Hydraboost Specific Questions

I have C6 Zo6 brakes all the way around, LSx engine with F-body PS, and one of Nick Diprenda's Hydraboost brackets.

I bought a complete hydraboost unit from a 2500 HD Duramax truck. Anyone ever run something like this before? Think it will work? Car is a 1970 GM A-body.

I think he is who I got my bracket from also. My hydraboost unit came off of an astro van. I'm running a corvette ls2 with the 'vette accessories on my 71 Chevelle and running a late 70's vette 4 wheel disc M/C, part no. MC39052. I've still got the stock discs on the front at this time and am running 93-97 Camaro rear discs. I was able to use the hoses for a '96 Astro also (purchased both on clearance from Rock Auto for less than $20). I did have to reshape the metal portion of the hoses a little to get them to fit.

Thanks. Anyone else have any input as to the HD2500 setup on a 3500-2600lb car?

I will have all of your answers for you this weekend. I am swamped at my day job and need to fine tune those detailed instructions for you. I will be doing that Saturday morning. Please post pics of the HB unit you have Humbler. There are super industrial sized units that are far too big for our cars and I just want to make sure you do not have one of those.

I have two in 2 66 Chevelles. A Right stuff master cylinder 1.125 bore disc disc. Very similar bracket and I found different hydroboost units for different applications and one was a C 3500 or k 3500 truck late 90s early 2000s.Most are virtually identical. Got mine from E-bay for about 250 brand new not rebuilt.

Well, Nick has fallen off the earth apparently, at least for now. Anyone have the directions to install his kit? He also told me someone had his tool out on loan right now. Anyone know who that may be?

I'm not sure if I can be of much help on the installation since I am not familiar with the LSx engine. What power steering pump setup are you using? As far as the mounting tool if you are speaking of the socket to mount the pump I have one you can borrow if need be.All I ask is that it get returned promptly and you cover shipping.

The socket to take off the nut on the back of the master is what I need. I think the nut gets repositioned behind his bracket once it goes back together, but I'm not sure.

Don't need any help with the PS stuff, thanks.

6 weeks without a reply- that's some pretty lousy customer service. If there is another side to this story (health, rehab etc) it would be interesting to hear. Otherwise...Future buyers beware...

Sorry I can't help further, but maybe another thread bump will help.

I believe something must have happened to him personally. He's always been right there with tech help in thepast, not only here, but on the Team Chevelle forum as well.

Well, January 14th was the last time I heard from Nick....

If anyone has a set of directions and a tool to borrow, that would be great...
