      Projection III

Has anyone used the Projection III system yet. It is the one that looks like a carb but is a complete FI set up. Seems like the XFI set up but looks better.

Any good or bad about it?

There have been a number of threads on the Projection III. You might try a forum search.

I am talking about the Professional Products Projection III. It looks like a carb. Summit has them on sale right now for $1,495 for the system.

I have one but never had it installed as of yet
it's good for the price and what it is, but wont have the tuneability as the mpfi

I plan to use mine with twin turbos..

I know of a few peeps that have been running it and came up with minor problems but have since had it corrected.. i think cold starts/idle was one of them

ps. are you going with professional products fuel system or are you going with fuelab e-pump/feul pressure regulator or an aeromotive setup?

The correct name is POWERjection III. I just bought a system and will install it in the spring...

The deciding factor for me was that I can use it with my supercharger... I also like that you don't have a huge separate box for the controls

I don't think the $1,495 for the basic kit without pump is a 'sale' price... JCWhitney has it for about the same price (and they have coupons all the time)

thats the same reason why i went with it...for forced induction

and 1495 might be the sale for the new fuel on demand version...but yea i paid 1495 for the powerjection III w/o fuel system, as I hear their pump is crap..
Not sire if they ever came out with the upgrade to control ignition timming within the cpu

but simply put powerjection III is return style while the +plus version is returnless with a lil fuelpressure style box...think it gets rid of the feul pressure regulator too..

Thanks for the feedback. My 350(.060 over) will make about 425 hp. Should be well within the 550 hp it is rated. The 1495 price was without fuel pump. 1695 with their pump and filter. I guess I should go with a different pump then. I want to try FI. All the years I have used Holley carbs and I figure I am always leaving something on the table. FI should be always tuned near optimal with its self adjusting.

yea their fuel pump sucks...go with either fuelab or an a1000 aeromtivie pump and perhaps their pump controller
the injectors arnt a big deal, as you can upgrade to 75? and 92 lb later down the line if needed

Powerjection III uses Ems 3 S/w which does not control timing. Fuel on demand and Ems 4 do not have a firm release date set (as of last week). Timing W/Ems 3 could be controlled via ignition box with vacuum referenced feature. As for fuel, consider a KB Bap.

fuel on demand has been out for several months...the box is like 350 on summit

the electronic timming portion of the plus plus would be nice if it ever gets released..

      Powerjection

I have an older version of it on a HO 454 with D1SC from Procharger. It runs well and has all the tuneability you could ever want with the fuel Map editor. Or you can just plug in A/F ratios or just let it do it by itself. Nice system
