      Got my rendering...

Hey peeps, Just thought I would show off the rendering and all I can say is WOW! I'm very happy with it. Thanks Shawn. www.mascolldesigns.com I now have more motivation to get out there and work in that garage stripping 40 years worth of paint. Just what I needed.

I really hate to be critical...but the roof looks kinda high?

The colors/wheels etc are all nice, but the proportions look a little off to me. Sorry!

If only you knew how hard it is to build a 3D model by eyeballing reference material......and keep in mind its a "render"

You are correct- I have no idea how hard it is to build a 3D model. Never even looked into it so it's totally foreign to me.

All I know is what I see...and i see a tall roof. Sorry!

that's a motivating rendering for sure - I like the orange with the grey stripe and rims. Get out there and get to work!

Yes, it is a motivating rendering. And that's what I needed. Thanks. As for the roof issue, I can see it in the bottom rendering, and it does not take anything away from it. I'm sure the friends I invite over to the garage are not going to say, "something just doesn't look right"! It's motivating and it works. Thanks again Shawn.

I never thought about putting the "Hocky Stick" on a '68... I might have to change my paint scheme. I was also wondering what the 2 big holes in the lower valance would look like plugged with running LEDS. just like you show it... Looks very cool to me!

That does look cool. Will the strip LEDs be used as turn signals too?

Thanks for the comments guys. The leds will be used just as DRL's. I like seeing the led's on the Audis and such. Really stands out during the daytime hours. I still might use the billet grill with the turn signal cut outs. Who knows? I do need some turn signals up front though. I wanted the rendering without! Silly me.

Send Shawn a Pm. Let him know what you're looking at doing to your vehicle and he'll get back to you.

Just a thought, if you don't have your mind made up prior to being "finished" would you consider a subtle hidder turn signal? Like something off of a motorcycle that could be at either end of the LED? I figured the RS lower valance lights would have been your signals.

Here is my $.02. Okay so in the picture it is only 1 cent but you get the idea.

I like the plan but I am partial to the color in your avatar. I wonder why?

Those are nice Robert. Pricey, but nice! The RS lower valance will not be there. Somebody said these cars will never be done. Too many options out there! Stick with the plan... what plan? lol

Parts? Yes! The wife bought me the wheels this Christmas. I have the suspension slowly being put together. Need to contact Mark at SC&C. Have the Hotchkis 2" drop springs and the rear leafs. Have the front Varishocks, still need the rear. I have a motor but that will be changing to a LS someday. Right now I just want to get the 40 years of paint removed and painted this spring/summer. Then I can enjoy slowly working on it and enjoying it at the same time. I'll start a project thread later, once I get all of my progress pics in line. lol
