Ionic Clean - alternatives?

[fantasygoat]

In my search for ionic water treatment options, I found this:

My only issue with it is the expensive, proprietary filters.

Are there any more generic options? I'd like to be able to get filters from a variety of sources instead of relying on a single vendor.

Also, if anyone can recommend a different method of generating the filtered water for rinsing, please feel free to reply.
