      what spot welders

I'm thinking about buying a spot welder and was curious if anyone had any good recommendations. I know HF makea an inexpensive unit, but not so sure of the quality. I'll mainly be doing sheet metal work. Any advice from those that have tried both high end and low end units would be great.

      Thanks,

      Dave

We've been using an HTP Quickspot II for several years, and it works very well on sheetmetal.

Kevin - thanks for the recommendation. I actually went with the Miller LMSW-52, 220 volt unit. However, it's difficult to set up and I can't seem to get it just right without burning through the metal. As much as I love Miller, it's going back. I spoke to Jeff Noland at USA WELD regarding the HTP Quickspot II, and decided to give it a try. It seems pretty straight forward and user friendly. I wish I would've taken your advice sooner!

      Big thanks!
