Best 6 speed for crate engine?

I am thinking of upgrading my LT1/6 speed combo in my 71 Cutlass convertible. If I go with an LY6 crate engine, what would be the best and most cost effective options to add a 6 speed since my LT1 6 speed is a different type? I realize best and most cost effective may not be the same thing. Thx for your thoughts.

I would post this in the transmission section. You should be able to change the input shaft to the longer (standard length) input and use the correct bellhousing.
