A girl like that breaks all stereotypes, she shows that its not just fat drunken rednecks that can fabricate poorly with a total lack of regard for any personal safety. lol.

I'm encouraged to see a woman jump in and do that stuff, but I think she has some poorly executed ideas there. I believe those gussets should be on the outside of the tube, and as far as her point about capping all the tubes... I agree with her in theory, but when the tube is already butted against another tube, there's really no reason for it and it creates a point of rigidness inside the tube that can potentially change the stress point of said tube in some situations. Unless I just misunderstood what she was doing and she only capped the end by the rocker because it was exposed, but it was hard to see in the vid.

As far as the fuel line thing.. <shrug> I could see something like that happening to one of us, but at the same time she should have definitely looked at what was beneath where she was cutting. She lost the fuel line and a parking brake cable that we know of. I think after I realized I cut the parking brake cable I would have been on watch enough to have moved or missed the fuel line.

Overall though I think it will work out fine for her, I guess I just have some beef when someone makes an instructional video and doesn't something that I'm just not sure is right.

      Very entertaining video though.

So I clicked on her name trying to find more of this car build. This lady is really freaking smart. No joking. She's an electrical engineer and most of her videos are hardcore science experiments. This lady is pretty dang cool.

I don't know if I should propose to her or to tell her to put the crack pipe and the plasma cutter down!

Nice to see her having fun....probably would have done things a little differently rather than cutting half the floor out while poking around....but what the heck, she's enjoying herself. Probably welds better than me anyhow....lol.

Yeah I was thinking most guys would make their cuts from the bottom, but she's a goyal, so maybe she didn't want all that crud falling on her. I have to admit I'm not a fan of old rust and sparks hitting me in the neck. Gets old after a while.

I definitely question the reasoning for "capping off all pipes" (tubing). If you're welding a tube to another (or to plate) at all ends, what is the point? I also don't see the point of the tube that goes to the rocker if it isn't going to be welded to the body.

Hacking the floor to pieces.... ugh. Oh well. She narrates well.

The more I think about it, the more I'm questioning what she did there. Luckily none of her fab work in that video is structural in nature, it's supposed to be ADDED support, so I don't imagine it'll hurt anything, but given that a lot of supposedly square tubing is actually rounded on the corners, she should have fishmouthed the tube for a tighter weld joint, not capped it off.
