      Sema / optima challenge photos

I posted some photos from the 2010 optima Challenge and SEMA. Mark Stielow dominated the event. There were really about 15 cars that were well prepared, by experienced drivers, 5 of which were damn near race cars. There were some that were pretty decent, and there were a few that were either too nice to thrash, or were never meant to be on the track, and it showed! Goldberg was the host, c'mon. I volunteered to help flag the roadcourse portion of the event. The event had no major problems, very few cars broke, and there were only 3 majors spins. The most spectacular was Polly in is BAD 3rd Gen trans am. He got tail happy coming off the corner, nearly swapped ends several times before spinning a few feet from the concrete wall, which I was standing behind! Click below to see the photos, thanks James Butler for the use of the Camera, and many of the pics. One would think SEMA was a stripper convention by your photos!

Awesome pictures, Keith. Brings back some very good memories of the fun we've had with our Camaros.

      Mary,

you bet, hopefully many more to come. I look forward to getting back at it with my car, I am sure you feel the same. Lots of people are finishing up their cars for the first time, our cars are kinda like the "Godfathers" of Pro-touring. This year is 20 years I have owned my 71 Z28, the memories and the changes! See you soon I hope!

      Vince,

We need to work on this. I have a folder with many photos of 2nd gen flares. We will talk again in a bit. I have some cool ideas for your car, but keep it on the DL....
