      Direct-mounted lowering blocks (no isolators)?

I'm looking to install 1" lowering blocks. I've heard of people eliminating the spring isolator pads to tighten things up. I have poly pads right now and they look all squshed out of place.

Can I just remove the pads and install the blocks, or do I have to modify something too?

P.S. The blocks are aluminum. I think I bought them at AFCO (it was a while ago).

I hope so, as I just did this lastweekend on my Nova. Nothing needed to be modified, just took the pads out and slipped the block in. I gained about 5/8" drop with a 1" block FYI.
