Popular Hot Rodding Needs Your Rides!

      Whatsup guys!

Since I've re-relocated back to the Bay, I don't get the reader's rides (Hometown Hot Rodding) and Under Construction submissions I would like.

That's where you guys come in...

I'm hoping to hear from you guys with some sweet finished cars and projects. What kind of cars? Really anything from the ‘50s forward that can turn, stop, drag, or cruise. I want cars that actually work and drive. Less show-only stuff, but send whatever you’ve got! Even send me your imports if they are rear wheel drive and powered by a domestic power plant, I’m open!

Email me with your submissions! [email protected]

      Here's what I will need:

      1. At least 5 different high-resolution photos. Expanding the photo to full monitor size without distortion is a good judge of if the resolution is antiquity. I would like to see before shots, engine, interior, exterior (please don't crop out any of the car, and front 3/4 shots are preferred), action shots are cool too! Logos and renderings are great too!

      2. A couple paragraphs explaining how you got into cars, what significant memories you have that explain how you got where you are int he car world. Tell me about the build. If this is a shop explain how that came to be, who your clients are, what kind of cars you build. If it's a personal project tell me how you got the car, what kind of condition it was in. Tell me what your goals were and how they might have changed. I would like to know all about what you do with your car, and how it has changed your life. Please write more than less, since I will be re-telling your story in my own words, the more I have to go off of the better.

      3. The tech form below completed as specifically as possible. Make sure to describe each part even if it's factory stuff. The more specs, the better.

      4. Your mailing address (for Hometown Hot Rodding only). We award one owner a month with the Mother's Picture Perfect award that includes a box of car-care goodies and I'll need to know where to have them sent.

Here are some examples of each column so you can see what it might look like and what kind of info to include!

I've considered submitting my cars, but I'm curious... at what point does a car go from "Under Construction" to "Hometown Hot Rodding"? My cars are always ongoing projects, even when they get to the point that I'm driving 'em regularly or taking them to events. It makes me wonder which kinds of pics I should send when submitting such cars.

if they are shiny and don't appear to be missing major components or body panels it's probably hometown. Send me some pics and i'll let you know!

Are FWD cars excluded even if they are built domestics? My Camaro is still far from done yet...but the Beretta is good to go!

Sorry for delay! I was computerless for SEMA!

Any phase of under construction is good, however only stripped down is less preferable. I would like to see substantial progress to help motivate other readers

AUS based is great! send it along!

Sorry, I'm going to have to probably avoid FWD cars... get to work on that camaro!
