      Tall Spindles

I am looking for a tall Spindle to replace the stock height ones I have on my 68 Camaro. Here is the catch I am not worried about weight and can’t afford aftermarket stuff like ATS or L&M. I would like to find a drum brake spindle “not one that has the caliper bracket and spindle as a single piece” because I am running my own brakes now and I love them. They bult on the stock boss locations from my drum spindels. Does this exist?

I wish- if only Heidt's would make a non drop version, I would be very happy! Otherwise, maybe tall balljoints?

just perform the g mod and redrill your upper arm mounting holes. Cost you a weekend and a few drill bits.

unless your looking to drop your car, the right sized front coil spring can put you as low as you would want to be.

+1 for G-mod and\or tall ball joints. F-body suspension is really a lot closer than a lot of people have been led to believe.

If you swap to tall upper ball joints, that will require new upper control arms to avoid excessive shims for alignment. I agree with Vince on this one, the G-mod is going to be your least expensive option assuming the reason you want "tall" spindles is for the increased negative camber gain under bump. If you made your own brake kit, the G-mod should be a piece of cake for you.

I figure tall UBJ with new UCA would be fine considering you would need a new UCA with a tall spindle too, but thanks for the clarification.

SC&C stage 2. Prob more than you want to spend. Look around at the circle track catalogs and see what you can some up with. G mod sounds perfect in this situation. I have the Stage 2 Plus kit and love the handling.
