ATS Tall spindles Brake and Rim Combos Post yours up

Looking for a good option for my 67 F body camaro. I picked up a set of new int eh box ATS tall spindles from another member here and want to start researching rim and brake combos that will work.
For brakes i am considering the z06 kit from Kore3 but mot sure if their are limitations on rim sizes with the ATS tall... My can Stock Sub BTW but I may notch it..

      Thanks all

The only limitation (besides your obvious sheetmetal) would come from your steering arm and rim...L&H kustoms has a short steering arm to help this. Rim minimum would be 17". Nail your back spacing and 275's would be on the menu...have you been drinking? LOL

The "regular" size C5/C6 Kore3 brakes will not clear 17" TTII's. I have 17" Raceline GT wheels and they do clear.

yep, C5/C6 will have spoke issues. We had used a 5/16" spacer to work.

not sure, but it has to do with the spoke design...you can specify c5/c6 clearance with most rim makers.

Hi David, I don't know anyone that has been able to run ATS and C5 brakes with anything less than a 17" rim. If you know a combo let me know. That has been the deal breaker with some of our customers.

Man it's been a while...I'm using a 13" C5 brake kit...can't remember who made it, though. It was cheaper than the SSBC kit, though, which is why I went with it. I'm using 18" E46 M3 wheels. The wheels clear easy, but they limit the turning radius. I need to notch the frame, I just haven't done it due to laziness, lol.

im doing a notch right now....get to it Matt.

David, getting the caliper to fit was the booger....that set up looks lik it will work with a smaller rim. Perhaps have Bogard can make a hoop that will clear it.

I saw that, those look pretty good. 16X11 /4.75???? Your gonna flare it arn't you?

With a back space of 4.75 I don't think you will have an issue. Specially with the shape of that caliper. Very compact for a 4 piston.

Some rim manufacturers will have a different hoop to clear a C5/C6 or larger brake. Or at least know what to do to make them clear.

      Looks good.

no way a 16x11 with 4.75 BS will fit inside the fender of a 68 FB just so you know.

Fronts are GW Upper and Lowers with QA1 coil-overs and AFX Tall Spindle (3/4" drop).
Rushforth Strutters in 17x8 with 5.00 BS on a 245/45/17 Michelin PS/2 Tire. Brakes are Touring Classics C5 kit with 12.7” rotors. I had to clearance the caliper heat sink fins a bit to make sure everything cleared on a 17" wheel (nothing was hitting just wanted a margin of safety was very close).

      Rears are a bit wider

      I was considering running C5 brakes with my 17" x 8" Rims with 4.5" BS. (67 Camaro)
I have not decided if I will use my stock hubs in conjunction with hubs/brackets from Tobin @ 3Kore, or buy ATS spindles.

Any suggestions? Will a 17" rim clear such a system? Is it worth purchasing the ATS spindles to accompany a Speedtech sub frame?
It seems as though the C5 Kits from Tobin are more economical that most of the other equivalent aftermarket kits.

      Thanks for your help.
