      SEM interior paint/dye

I am going to paint/dye my red dash black along with refresh all of the plastic pieces that I bought for the car which are already black. From what I have seen, SEM makes a nice product for this. Any other options I should consider that are better or cheaper?

Hey Stephen, that SEM works pretty well, I used it to change a dark brown interior to black, but it took a couple coats. It also came off the door pannels where your arm rubs after about two years. Over all I thought it worked great.

Fortunately, most of the pieces I have are already black. The dash, which is in great shape, however is not. The car only had the dash in it, so I have been choosy when buying up pieces. I will likely go over all of it with a few coats though.

Use a good adhesion promoter like Bulldog before you spray. It will make sure the paint sticks to your dash.

SEM has they own adhesion promoter/prep products... I'd stick with all SEM stuff! It'll turn out GREAT! I used the Landau Black over my stock black plastics/dash and they looked better than new!

Thanks for the confirmation guys. I was going to use their products for the entire job. It just makes sense to. Ty, have you gotten many miles on the BMR TA yet? I am really looking forward to see how it works both on the road and on the autoX track.

VERY tight and precise!! Had some fun on an abandoned runway with it all ready! No autoX yet but as soon as the rims get back!

True. I've never used their product for adhesion. But have had very good luck with the Bulldog stuff. Bottom line use a good quality adhesion promoter.
