I have a 2001 chevy camaro 6cyl 5 speed with t-tops. i want to add subframe connectors and a strut tower brace is it ok to do this on a car with t-tops. someone told me that they did not think it was a good idea cuz the t-tops might crack has anyone heard of this. and who makes a good set of connectors for these cars.

      check out www.bmrfabrication.com

there should be no problems being a t-top car, thousands of late model car have sub-frame connectors and t-tops.

I would actually recommend them to t-top owners cause the body will have less flex and later down the road the t-tops might not leak.

      Paul,

There are tons of 4th gens running strut tower bars, and since most 98+ coupes have T-tops, I'd say not to worry. I've never heard of the T's cracking? Check out www.ls1speed.com for some manufactuers on the SFCs. I know that Hotchkis, BMR, Global West, and several others make them. Some are the "double diamond" design, and others are just a standard SFC.
