      throttle cable for ls1 2nd gen?

      what are some of you guys using for a throttle cable for a ls1 in a sec gen camaro ( 79 )

      I used a 48" Lokar in mine and as you can see I have QUITE A BIT of excess. Over 12" easily.
      I'd say get a 36" Lokar, or if you want it for ~1/2 the price, get the Spectre throttle cable.



      That picture is so embarrasing from 2007, I cleaned up my engine bay and PC'd everything.

      The lokar "ls1" cable is 36 inches I beleive but it is cut to fit really easy to do.

      I used one from a 2001 suburban, almost perfect length. Had to modify the hole in the firewall slightly but it works good and looks stock. Cost was just over 50 bucks iirc.

      Yep, cut to fit Lokar. Having it too long/looping can cause binding and excessive friction.
