my .02 worth... how much time are you gonna spend in the car? Granted I understand we all want our systems to sound good, but to me it would just boil down to this:

      1) Are YOU really gonna be able to tell the difference in the sounds of the equipment without trying them all out in your car?

      2) Do you wanna spend a crap load of money on a really high end system that you may not even get to listen to for long periods of time?

      3) What sounds good to you may sound like crap to someone else, get what you like & is in your budget don't worry about what anyone else thinks about how it sounds.

      4) It's in a car for pete's sake, how much clarity are you honestly really gonna get in a sweet ace car like yours? Road noise, engine noise, ect... are going to affect what you hear anyway. Dump big money into your home sound systems where you can hear the quality of the sound, not your car stereo...

Keep in mind these are MY thoughts & opinions, not yours or anyone elses. Just thought I'd add some different perspectives. I myself would rather have a decent sounding stereo, but have most of my money spent everywhere else (engine, brakes, suspension).

I've been following your build, so it's not like you've half @$$ed it on anything else on this car, but if you wanted something bigger & better elsewhere on the car, then to me the stereo system would be where I would be making my cuts or "settle for" to add something better elsewhere ... Not that I know anything about what your budget or plans are... just thoughts here...

brad, you couldnt be any more correct. i ask my self the same questions. i dont know much about stereo systems, so one that may sound bad to an expert may sound really good to me.

for me though, i like to get the best that my money can buy. that may be 10 bucks or 1000 bucks, but i just dont like to look back and regret a decision because i didnt research it. i guess i just dont want to make any bad decisions.

      thanks for all the replies
