      89 convert vette

Hello everyone. This forum has been a great source of info to me and i have enjoyed reading about all of your projects. I am in the process of starting a pro touring project on my 89 Vette hardtop convertible. I purchased the car in Feb in Phoniex with only 50,000 miles on it As with many desert cars the paint needed attention and the weatherstrip needed to be replaced. after completing this i moved on to the interior replacing the carpet and recovering the seats and replacing the door panels. With that done i was satisfied for about a week, wondering what i really wanted to do to the car was even a possibility of become a reality. With encouragement from my Girlfiend i started collecting the peices that i desired for the car. First has the LS6 motor and 6 spd trans that i found on ebay with only 20,000 miles. Next came the break upgrade, once again off to ebay and i picked up a set of Z06 rotors and calipers Now i need to find a suspesion system that will give me the right ride stance that will set my car off. Any help would be great The wheels that i have in mind are Boze 20x10 rear with a 4 inch lip and 18x9 in the front wrapped in BF Goodrich G Force KDW NT Thanx Bob

welcome fellow C4 owner. Unless you want to go 4 corner coilover the 1st place I always go for suspension parts is Vette Brakes & Products--

They have kits & individual components with varying handling/ride characteristics so you can pick your poison and they offer great bang for the $$. Good pick on the LS6 motor, it will make your car scream and when stock is no longer enough it responds well to simple upgrades. I just sold my '70 Chevelle with an LS6/5 spd
