Its pretty cool, but makes me dislike ford a lot.

Standard fiesta- weak econo-pos, but the race version is awd turbo??

Ford could have a nice share in that compact awd turbo car class if they wanted.

Ken "DNF" Block can drive... on a closed course. But apparently he's got a bit of an issue finishing real races...

I too am annoyed with Ford for not producing a proper hot hatch these days, especially when they've created the way cool Focus RS (and RS500), Focus ST, and even the Fiesta ST. Of course, a turbo AWD version (ala original Sierra RS500 or '94-'95 Escort Cosworth) would be incredible. Maybe one day...

I would imagine he will get there eventually. On his Firsthand on Fuel TV, he said he has only driven competitively for about 5 years and he has already worked his way up to the WRC ranks. I am sure that has a lot to do with the buzz he has generated for him self. I love the Gymkhana videos and he has brought WRC to my attention and will do so for others too.

Some would say he didn't "work" so much as bought his way up to the WRC ranks. Ken Block's presence in WRC is a double edged sword IMHO... he has certainly raised awareness of it (along with the x games), but he is also very symptomatic of what is wrong with WRC (and Rally America to a large degree), which is that it is more about money than it is about cars and drivers anymore. I'm personally much more enthusiastic about more grassroots regional rally racing than the big WRC events.

I wouldn't totally disagree with you. He definitely has connections that allow him to gain a foothold to follow his passion. Time will tell if he does have a knack for it or if he has superior equipment and backing. I have a fair amount of respect for WRC/Rally drivers as they drive their cars on the knife edge through varying terrain and some pretty sketchy narrow roads.

Dale jr isn't so good at winning races, but he's still the most popular driver, just sayin.

IDK why people can't just enjoy this video w/o having to flame the guy, I couldn't care less about the WRC series (just as I couldn't care less about ANY race series) but I thought the video is pretty cool.

Who said they didn't enjoy it? As for my criticism, many folks only know KB's gymkhana videos without knowing about his rally exploits. These videos are much like stunt driving in a movie... well rehearsed, choreographed, planned, repeated until they get the best take. Fun, but very different than stage rally.
