      Tire pressure

What amount of tire pressure is recomended on big tire like I have, 275/40x17 and 245/45x17?

Wide tires can be difficult to pressure correctly, you can easily go wrong and you will not get the whole surface to the ground.

As it is now my car feels very stiff. OK I have Hotchkis gear on it and Koni shocks set to the medium setting. So I can not expect it to be a cruiser. Tirepressure is anyway a easy tuning parameter and to have it correct is important.

I'm not sure how it will work on the street but we optimize tire pressure on a track by getting them up to temp and then taking the temps at the outside, middle and inside of the tread. Add or subtract pressure to even the temps all the way across. Cold middle, add. Hot middle, subtract.

you can try try less shock dampening, soften the shocks one click and see how it feels.your only complaint was ride quality so maybe you will like the softer setup better on the street.
