      Rear suspension ideas

Hey guys I need some help with my rear suspension. My wheels are too wide and rub the wheelhouse and shock so I'm goin to relocate my shocks inboard. My plan was to just switch the lower shockmounts so they mount inboard of the leaf springs and make a custom upper mount.
Any one ever do this before and if so can u post some pics to help with my design. I plan to weld a piece of square tubing between the frame rails and then weld a stock style upper mount on the tube. I'm hoping to not need to spend much money and would appreciate any help.

      Thanks

I have that done on my Nova. Crossmember between the frame rails. The shocks need to be shorter when doing it this way. I used 6? Mustang shocks that were around 2" inches shorter to avoid bottoming.

Calvert springs (not ideal for handling) with Speedtech offset shackles. Front spring mount is stock. 315/35/17 on 17x11 7 3/4bs

when I was gonna keep leaf springs I was going to just use these two parts.
