      cooling fans

Anybody ever use the Jeg's dual cooling fan relay kit with sensor. I put it in the rear of the intake an a BBC and it seems to turn on to late. It is an on at 185* off at 170* . The engine gets up to 230* before it turns on, I have another brand sensor coming. Should I put it in the head instead?

      thanks
      -Tom

the head coolant is hotter than the rear of the intake coolant. i would swap them and recheck, it doesn't cost anything. thats where GM puts the sensor in LSx cars and on the older SBC c/k trucks it was also in the head.

I tried 3 different sensors in two spots. I finally put in the front of the intake. I used the on at 195* off at 185*, now it works the way it is supposed to.
