      Scion XB?

I need a reliable fun daily driver so I can leave the toys in the garage for nice days- drove a Scion Xb and liked it for the short time I was in it. Do any of you have any experience/opinions on this car? I am prepared for my hot rodding buddies to make fun of me. Do they make TT2's with a 4 x 4" bolt pattern???

I like those too. I've seen some with cool paint jobs. But you would have an LS1 tucked in that cargo area in no time! oh wait...that would be me!!

They only weigh 2300 pounds - maybe a blower or a turbo would be fun.

My buddy has one as a daily driver, they are fun little cars. The traction/stability control kicks on at .74g, and with some wide tires and stiff springs that is not all that hard to hit.

The draw backs are that there are no real gauges in the car, the refridgerator box styling, no big brake kit for the rear (wilwood has avail for front though) and rather upright driving position (like a truck).

I am not sure if TRD has gotten the blower kit to be covered under the factory warrenty yet, but they only have 108hp stock. The gearing makes up the the lack of HP, although at hwy speeds you are spinning about 4K.

As an A to B car they are pretty good, get decent milage (about 32 hwy) and of course have the reliablity of a Toyota.

      just my 1 cent contribution...

actually we have one here at work. we had it about 3 years ago before they came out when it was supposed to be called the BB which is what its called in japan. i would get pulled over in it all the time, just becuase the cops wanted to know what it was!

actually its not a bad little car / truck whatever!

great head room, can fit alot of stuff and great price at no haggle at 15k!

but for power it has NONE! i know you guys were asking about power adders.. to me its a waist of time. we have a trubo on it already and its only boosting 3 to 4 lbs cuz thats all the bottom end can take. i'm sure you can boost more but this defeats the the deal for it being a daily driver! besides even with the turbo its still slow! my stock 91 sentra with a 1.8 can take it.

they make plenty of aftermarket parts for it! we have coil overs on it, an NX nitrous kit (still slow!), 4 momo seats, exaust a bunch of other stuff that i'm sure you guys don't care about and 13 inch wilwoods brakes on the front and 11's on the rear! its way over kill! when you step on the brakes it feels like the car is going to do an endo!

anyways here are a few shots of it. im sure you guys can deal without the stickers but i'm sure if you were getting the parts free too you'd put the stickers on too! but then again you probably not looking at the stickers!

have fun if you buy one!

We had someone here at work that had one of those.

We called him "He Who Drives a Cube". None of us cared for the styling, but he really liked it.
