LG Motorsports makes a full carbon wing (same exact wing mold as what's used on the GM (and LG) Corvette's in ALMS GT2 cars) that was created by GM and wind tunnel tested etc, and it provides linear down force..but I can get bigger discounts on APR stuff than Lou will give me
It would depend on the airfoil, but I believe in general the lift increases exponentially with speed. Here's something from NASA that relates to your question.

The wing would look cool on a street driven car .

I prefer this type of wing though :
Indeed. Let them talk. Some people would look at the Aero on this Honda , and scoff RICE....Until they read the article. Point is, Spoilers don't equal rice. Strangely, the same gearheads that hate on wings don't seem to remember the Superbird. Prices are a little steep. I'd consider Cusco and APR as well. APR being, by far, the cheapest for spoilers and splitters. www.extremedimensions.com has universal front splitters for $299.00 (I've even seen plywood used to great affect ).

Wow.. That car definitely goes to show that your tires and the track don't care how pretty your car is. That thing is UGLY! But very quick!!! Especially with only 230 HP!

In my opinion, wings don't compliment the beauty of our car's lines. Even on the Superbird. Although that one on the mustang looks pretty good. BUT, if you are going to go fast around a road course then you need downforce. The more the better. I say go for it. And when someone mocks you, tell them to try to keep up!

EFFECTIVE aero mods for FWD cars are a challenge, to say the least...

Really stinking cool! I thought of this a while ago.. But apparently, smarter people thought of it sooner.
