      Chevelle buid LS6 or L92?

I have already purchased a 2008 L92 that I was planning on swapping to an LS3 and the setup has 10,000 miles on it. However I have the oppertunity to get a 2004 LS6 with 25,000 miles and the T56 complete with all harness and accessories from a Z06.

This will cost me about the same.

Which one would you go with and why?

      Thanks!

Take this for what it's worth.... I'm far from an expert and I'm basing this mostly on my web-based research. All costs being the same I think the L92 based engine would be the way to go. I've read nothing but good things about the stock heads on the LS3/L92's. I think in stock form they support way more power than the LS6. You'd probably need to swap heads and cam to make even close to what the L92 motor would make with just a cam swap.

I'll be interested to see what the more knowledgeable folks have to say. I've contemplated the same thing - Gen III or Gen IV LS. My dilemma was more related to the up front cost which, I thought may be cheaper for the older motor, but hp for hp I may be wrong.

money not being an issue the l92 with more power to start with and more power capabilities is no brainer.

My thoughts are similar. I've purchased all the parts for the install on the L92 that I could always sell along with a TX Speed cam just thought the LS6 might be a better setup as it's complete and ready to drop in. Might stick with the L92.
