Calling all LS1 69 Camaro installers

I hope this is a quick answers to my question.

I have a chance to pick up a LS1 out of a late model trans am with very low mileage.

Here is the question I can take it with or without the manual trans.

Where would the shifter come up in the 69 camaro if I went with the stock trans?

Or should I just go with the tremec 6 speed which will fit the current location.

Keep in mine I will be swaping out the center console to a 4th gen trans am also in the future.

      Thanks

The fore/aft placement of the shifter is also going to depend on the engine mounting plates used. From a practical standpoint, usually the most the stock console needs to move back using a stock 4th gen shifter is around 3-4".
