Rear-end assembly problem.

I have a 9" I am trying to assemble. Its a Posi with currie axles. I can get the passenger axle to slide in but the drivers side axle will not go all the way in. I can get it to go into the first set of splines but the second set of splines appears to have a different "pitch" to them preventing me from fully inserting the axle. Anyone have any suggestions???








And yes, they are all 31 spline.
