      71 Maverick project

Ok, I have been talking about this for awhile. I got a Maverick and plan to start work soon. Will try to make GG AUTO X. I got this car to have fun at auto x events. Like I said before I have never autox but it looks like so much fun I have to try!!!

Front susp. I think will be Mustang II. I know it may not be the best for autox. I might stick with the factory setup and go with TCP stuff.

Engine will be a 351 W kinda. I have a old school C3 headed windsor with a Jack Roush intake that did not cost a thing. From what I understand that is an old Yates style head.

I can not decide between Red or grabber blue.
Wheels will be Rushforth Rated X or New Gens.

Still have alot of details to work out but I am looking forward to it. I could not scan the pic so its not the best quality sorry.

cool!!! I love the maverick. If you want my suggestion for a maverick autocross car.

Really stiff springs and low as possible and as much rubber as possible. Then get the weight as low as possible.

The maves are light and short wheelbase for a great advantage in the autocross.

      Good luck.

Just saw a Maverick last week in my neighborhood: killer stance and lots of engine (by the sound of it).
Kept thinking about what a bitchin' car they are so best of luck!

      Alright another Mav!!!

You better get busy if you want to make GG. There's 2 months to go. There could be a Mav invasion happening. I plan to be there and my dad might show up with his Mav as well.

I have the TCP up front and really like it. I have yet to AutoX but intend to give it he11 come October. I've almost got my TCI torque arm installed and am really getting psyched.

I know I am not going to make it this year. Taking the Fairlane this year anyway. I might need to pic your brain on that 3 link. TCP does not make a 3 link for a Mav you just made it work? Like to see some pics of that setup.

Go with red. And I say red because I like having one of the only blue cars at the shows.
