I had that idea too! Nice to see a professional actually do it, now I know it's not just all in my head. ;-)

We still need to finish adding the pcs to the sub-frame connector to rocker.. but I think you guys get the idea.. when done it should give it a triangulated effect on the center of the floor.. I remember this feature on convertibles from my days of restoring first gen Camaros..

I am doing a very similar thing to project "N-XSS". 67-68 Camaros just don't have any depth in the wheel well to get the car to ride low and have any tire clearance without pushing the tire in a bunch

We are getting about 16 inches of wheel well room from rear well face to outer face of qtr.. lots of room

Only thing that i can't get pass is that I need to fill the wheel well opening some more.. 335-30-19 is not enough.. but got an idea that might help that situation.. i will have more by the end of the day..

Are you saying the width needs to be larger or the height needs to be taller? My Studebaker has 16" wheel wells and I really like having the extra room in there for clearances. This is with a 335, though I could probably go to a 345.

315-40-19.. see how the entire wheel well opening is filled..

I have often wondered why somebody didn't add some metal to the top of the body line and push the quarters out some. It always made sense to me, but I have absolutely no body work experience. I realize it is not as easy as just adding the metal up top. I applaud your shop for executing some very subtle and tasteful methods of stretching fenders. You guys are putting together some great cars.

problem there is the tire gets too big and then hits at the 2 and 10 o clock locations unless tire is sucked in. oh the trials and tribulations we go through

67/68 & 69 have a tapper towards the rear of the car... we square it up to the wheel.. that elimnates the tire rub.. I think! LOL

How about 345/35/19's? They have a 28.5 diameter and a nice 4.75" sidewall. It makes for a nice ratio of height vs width. Original equipment for an Enzo.
Nice work and thanks for posting the pics!
