      Buttonwillow September 25

I didn't get the track times I was looking for July 31st so I am going to schedule myself for this event. Its through Speed Ventures again.

Do I want to drive 4 hours to Buttonwillow again when I have Infineon and Thunderhill in my back yard? Not really but I need more track time there to improve my line.

      Hope to see y'all there

Well you know I'm going. I want to see how close to your time I can get. Breaks will be fixed this week and I am going to drive my car all weekend to work out any kinks.

Thanks for the laps as a passenger, that was fun.

If you can't go Chad, I'll take your car for you ... you know, so it learns the track better... and ... stuffs.

I just spoke with Dave of Speed Ventures about a group discount. We need a minimum of 5 to sign up by September 10th and he will waive the timing and transponder fees which equates to $20. If you already have a transponder its $10 off.

If you are interested, when signing up for the event place "Pro-Touring.com" in the comments section and that will get you your discount.

Let me do some math.. my car should be back from RTTH6 and we could use some big track time.

I also need to run this by my crew chief.. lol

I am glad to see such a good initial response to this event. I am crossing my fingers that each of your individual schedules will allow you all to make this one.

If we all run transponders we can all sign up for the same class(which ever has the least cars)and do an organized line up per our times using the first session as a warm up and the second session for our qualifying times. That would make for some great photo opportunities.

I may be able to go but not quite sure yet, work is building up and I want to try and get the 69 project on all 4's. My breaks work extreamly well now so I want to go out every chance I can.

That would be fantastic for at least one session.

Aaron and Dave at Speed Ventures are pretty cool so I am sure we can work something out with them. Even if we wait till 3rd session or 4th session and give all other cars a 45 second head start.

Probably something we should all discuss and agree on sooner than later so that we can work it out with Aaron and Dave.

I'm a tentative yes. I'll know for sure in the next week or two. I think my friends Jon and John will be able to go to . To make it more confusing, they both have 'vettes.

Config. #1. FAST. Lots of brakes needed into the hairpin if running CW. It's also amazing how much oil a timing cover can hold on that turn.

You should consider running with us at Thunderhill on August 21st. You could sign up for HPDE 1 and have an instructor ride with you. Steven will be there running HPDE 2.

It would be a great confidence booster and NASA doesn't charge for having an instructor ride with you.
