      Steering box o-ring ?

I have a new DSE 600 box but the o-ring got nicked on the high-pressure fitting going into the box. I assume this isn't your hardware store shelf item, true? The local auto parts stores don't have just o-rings although one has A/C o-rings in the size I need. Is this equivalent for use in a PS application (pressure/fluid type)?

Also, with the o-ring providing the seal, how tight do you make the fitting? As tight as I can make it?

      So near, yet so far.

You probably have a hydraulic service shop around somewhere. Look them up and they should be able to give you just about any 0-ring you need.

They're good for custom PS hoses too.
