      Air Cleaner challenge

Here are some pics of my throttle body. It is from Accel and now that it is on the manifold wondering what kind of air cleaner will work with the bolt setup as well as the interference with the throttle linkage. I love how short the body is for cleaner clearance but may have to get something machined to attach to get a normal cleaner to work. I would just call Accel but those of you that have tried know what a PITA that is to get to speak to anyone. Any ideas?

I bet there is a bracket made for it already. All you really need is a U type bracket that's slotted on the ends with a stud in the middle.

nice link for spacers. I would like to raise the filter base as little as possible AND fab up something to get a center Stud to attach to. Called Accel and there is nothing commercially made to address the "no stud in the middle setup". What were they thinking? Well I have an idea and will post up how it goes.

I don't have your setup but the one I have I had to take out the spacer on the bottom between the t body and manifold, then the linkage had to be modified so it wouldn't hit the fuel rail. I don't believe they ever think of anything when they engineer their stuff. The fuel regulator position also hit the valve cover which is one reason why it is gone too among others. If there is a manifold setup that they sold that went right in with no problems I would be amazed. The good thing is they are small problems and when you get done it is better and purpose built along with making you a better fabricator, lol.

Goodluck when you go to start it !

I have followed your nightmare with accel. But I got what I got and now will proceed to make lemonade with the lemons. I have already lined up a local Certified DFI tuner ... so...we'll see how it goes when it does.
