I just installed one of these units

I just installed one of these units a few minutes ago. Well I never actually wired it... just mounted. I was so dissappointed with the quality and look that I am on here looking for alternatives. A few comments... the knobs are closer together that the stock radio, why I dont know. It is impossible to get the stock trim/face plate to work... you can space the knobs out but the stock piece will never "pinch" like the plasic piece supplied with the kit (which looks like cheap plastic and doesnt sit completely flush). I pluged the the RCA jacks into the back, when I unplugged them the ground ring for one of the RCA lines pulled off the back of the radio. I dont know if these are usually soldered on or what... I pushed it back on and checked it out with a multimeter and it appears to be ok... (untill the next time I unplug the RCA cable). I have the knobs adjusted in as far as they can go without hitting the face plate and you can still see the shafts under the knobs. Also, you can tell this thing is made for alot of different applications. There are adapters/spacers on the knobs and around the center of the radio..... and the chevy tag can be popped off... probably to put a ford sign on it. This thing is definately not designed specifically for a 67-68 Camaro.
Anyway... dont buy this thing if you want a quality fit and look. I still cant believe the RCA jack is jacked and I only unplugged it once ... sheesh
