An Aussie in Calgary with a 65 Fastback Mustang

Hi Fella's - have been lurking here for a while enjoying the posts and thought it was time to introduce myself .... I have a 65 fastback which whilst not 100% Pro-touring - I like to think of it as a Road Race - Rally - Hotrod - Pro-touring - Trans am - Show kind of car .... We started out road rallying a 65 fastback and after a big accident we are in the process of rebuilding. Considering we could have nearly died in the accident I have taken a new look at what we are trying to achieve - ie we are racing for plastic trophies so not as if its high stakes - so the name of the game is to be part of the action and the comaraderie amongst other enthusiasts whilst having some lower risk fun .... So last time we built the car as a race car - this time the rebuild is more to a show - pro-touring standard - in fact some people have said it will be too nice to race as it is very straight !! .... Seeing I flipped the car I am flipping the colours this time so she'll be Blue with White stripes !!

Hope to join in some of the conversations more !

      Welcome

Good to see a fellow aussie on here. I'm in Brisbane. Was the incident televised? I recall a mustang crashing in one of the targas.

Another Aussie crashed his Falcon down in Tazmania... Eric Bana, he made that film The Beast about it... and its a pretty good documentary...

What I'd to know is... what speed were you going to go airborne?! And, what not to do to flip a car.
