      Oh I've called... many times.

I didn't come here to start anything... i was just curious what was par for these guys. This coming tuesday will be 10 weeks since I ordered my wheels. I was told 4 to 5 weeks lead time to build the wheels and the tires would be there waiting to go on and ship out to me. After 6 weeks, I called to make sure everything was ok. Jon or Justin (can't remember) told me they were on the truck being shipped to them as we spoke. I said cool. After 8 weeks, I called to see what was up. Then I was gave a tracking number that proved they were actually on a truck being shipped to them. So I got lied to the time before. Then I was promised they would be to me by the end of this week (9.5 weeks) and fell through again. And the email address gave to them was the correct email, however I didn't get anything from them saying it was shipped out yesterday. Too bad, might have prevented this.

So in the end, I will get my tires/wheels and all will be well. Too bad this had to happen to me as it sounds like most people have good luck. I do order wheels fairly often, however I won't be ordering from them again.

I ordered a set of boyd wheels from jon a few years ago. This was the 1st time dealing with him, He was told from boyds crew 6-8 weeks. Well 18 weeks later the wheels were shipped. Once i got them one wheel was wrong. I called Jon, and he got right on it and within a week i had the right wheel.

Did i have a nasty taste in my mouth? Yes, but am i over it? Yes. Hell i order parts from him too, not only wheels.

Jon will take care of you. Some things are out of there hands.

I spoke with Justin at length about getting some Schott wheels for my '69 Firebird. Even sent him some pictures of the car to get his opinion on which style to go with. Ended up going with sizes that I hadn't really considered and got tires as well. The wheels fit perfectly, and look awesome. I have nothing but good things to say about Driverz Inc, and have recommended them to a number of my friends.

he's been patient as hell with me. i had a 6 week lead time that turned into 2 years..... that was my deposit to lock in one of the 20% discounts on a group buy, and me not knowing what the hell i wanted. when the time came and i had my mind made up, he kept the same price he quoted me 2 years prior.

pretty outstanding in my mind. i got some pics from rushforth the other day of my wheels being cut. i can't wait!

My .02 for what it's worth.... Good company with a good selection of wheels at good prices. I had a unique situation on a set of wheels where things could have been handled a little more professionally, but it is what it is........ just don't take a set of Vintage Wheel Works wheels to them to be powdercoated and you'll be alright.

Spit it out man,we're all big boys here...let's hear the horror story.

In my four different orders, were there small issues along the way?Perhaps.
Were they handled to my satisfaction?Absolutely.
Would I order from them again or recommend them?Without a doubt.

Some of you guys amaze me.If it's 4 weeks and 1 day after you were told 4 weeks you become unglued like it's the end of the world....come whinning here on the boards on how you've been wronged.
Most of the time, the car's not even in paint...but hey,I digress.

I smelt a skunk from the first post...you can't please them all,all you can do is the best you can,the rest is out of your control.

      Carry on...

Well, skunks stink! Thought you guys were big boys and could handle talking to others vs. some vague fishing expedition! Pretty dirty and very 5th grade playgroundish (yeah, its a word now)!

If you got a problem go to the horses mouth. Show me a wheel/tire dealer that has ANY control of what the manufacture does. The manufacture could care less, the dealer is on the hook for the wheels even if YOU back out of the deal. You want custom this, satin that, polish this, chrome studs, etc... on a wheel, no wonder it takes months. Throw in a bunch of guys writing big checks, pounding fists on the desks asking Jon, "you know who I am...?" The guy is providing a great service to us(community) with a hell of a lot more knowledge then most of us on this subject matter. If you know more, can provide a better product, pricing and service, looks like you found a new self-employed business! Good luck, some good investers and you may turn a profit out of a bunch of hot rodders within a few years.

Any of the major mills are all way behind, all the time! I dont know of many, if any that can turn out a wheel when they say they can, too many variables to factor. Jon is a good dude, known him well before he got here and shame on you for your chicken*#@t fact checking mission with a new profile on here.

Maybe when you are done creating a profile on here and checking on a vendor the administrators can address it appropriately.

I registered back in Jan of this year when I was doing some research here. Some of it was actually checking on Driverzinc. I saw some good things so went with them. Call it what you will bud, I don't appreciate being lied to either.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! Adam, you were not lied too. We where told your wheels where on their way to us and they were not. It was a mistake. Once we figured out there was a mistake we were on the horn trying to get the issued resolved. Unfortunately it put us behind. If you would like more details, feel free to call Jon or myself.

I should have came here a long time ago... this is the best communication I've had lol. No, it's all good guys. Mistakes happen.. I just wasn't aware that there was a little mishap on Billet Specialties end. I was getting crap from the guys at work too. They were keeping track of how long it had been since I ordered/paid for something and hadn't seen or heard about it.

Seems like Driverzinc have built a solid foundation with good prices and service to many members here. Thanks for clearing the air and getting my stuff to me. Can't wait to get it

Just want to add my positive experience dealing with Driverzinc. It's nice to be able to call a company and NOT spend 20 minutes just explaining what it is you want to the clueless individual that happened to be near the phone, which happens at alot of smaller shops.

I knew exactly what wheel design and size/offset I wanted when I called. A < 10 min conversation and my wheels were on order and paid for.

Thumbs up for folks that know what they're doing and for recognizing that without customer service (in the world of custom wheels) you're just another face in the crowd.

      OK, guys.

This thread is now locked. We've heard all sides of the story, and there is little point in allowing this to dog-pile. PM a moderator if you think you've something direct to add.
