Comparatively I ran a 50.52 with the Tire Chicane... in a car that weighs more, has less power, and sloppier suspension... and +2 doors.

Cause that's never been done before.... lol

I clearly saw him turn the wheel for the chicane in the video.

I forwarded the video over to Evan since that is him standing there checking out the cars in the black shirt.

^Yea, exactly. The tires were there during the timed lap. For the rest of the video where Matt F drove around with no helmet, the tires were gone, I assume, in the interest of better filming.

Chad, major props for hitting that time. I'll bring you out a small white tshirt and aviators next time. Hell, you could be my wing man anytime.

And congrats to the rest of you guys for going out there and getting some track time. You do us all proud, *tear*

Sal took the Camaro home this weekend with the intention of making sure it was ready for some track abuse this week. The P/S pump puked a bunch of fluid all over his driveway so not so much on this week.

I'll go next week. I've got to get an alignment, and what I believe to be a pair of warped rotors fixed on my Mustang, but that should be a quick job. Somehow I get the feeling I'll be driving an oversteering mess, but that could be fun

      Matt

*edit* I just noticed we got our (significantly less than) fifteen seconds of fame on an internet TV show that I doubt anyone one really watches. Still, that is Awesome, even if someone screwed up editing.

do yourself a favor, and buy your own caster/camer guage from someplace like Motorstate. Make your own turning plates (4 pcs sheetmetal 18" square, two to a stack with grease in the middle), and get some toe plates. Your life will improve when you no longer have to count on tire jockeys to mis-align your car

We will be testing a Mustang II front clip, 4-link rear '66 Nova in the coming weeks so hopefully it will fall on the same day you guys go. Maybe Sal will bring the Camaro too and let Evan and I get some seat time.

For those that aren't aware the 2010 Super Chevy Handling Challenge is Tuesday August 31st.

You guys may want to plan on being at Adam's that night. *hint hint

Nothing like that..... There just might be a special guest

On a side note: There are two Saturdays available for the track rental. September 18th & October 9th I am thinking both of these dates might be too soon so I might have to start thinking about next year.

      Ok, that's an easy choice.

NOT September 18. That's the day of the Camarillo Autocross that many of us have already signed up for.
