Wow...That seems really high to me. I wouldn't pay that much for it.

He's in Germany looking at an American car.

I'd look to see how much to costs to import one from here, might be cheaper in the long run.

your brother might want to look at one from the states and ship it over. i just shipped my 54 chevy to Stuttgart, for about 900 dollars. not sure how much it would be for tax and all on an "old" car, but i would think you could buy something from the states, ship it over and pay the import stuff and still end up less than the 25k. that seems a little high to me.

rare, I've never seen a column shifted, non-console 2nd gen before.
the big issue w/ buying a 'finished' car is not knowing the quality of the bodywork; lots of guys on here have been burned by cars that 'looked' perfect, but had tons of bondo and bad repairs.
only sure way to know is to have a pro inspect it firsthand.

Yeah, the car is located in Germany. Sorry...

I told my brother to look in the states for a car, but he won't.
If you import a car from a foreign country, you have to pay for the shipping (1500 euro + overseas), customs (10%), tax (19%), inspection (it depends on the date of built) and for the paperwork (500 euro +).

Anyway, the Camaro is too expensive...

car like that in the states would fetch $12k-18k. Strange mix with a plain jane RS car and a PFAFF engine. Perhaps more if the engine was detailed.

I know of one for sale at $22k that seems nicer..

Not digging the blue seats or how they did the stripes, but overall it looks fairly clean.
