      It depends on what your plans are for your trunk area. I had already bought the kit (4100l) and made my own "airpod". Used the dimensions on their website and went from there. From a packaging/installation stand point; if your budget and your trunk layout will allow, get the airpod. One thing I will say about ridetech is that their customer service is one of the best out there!

      If you want the easiest solution, have the room, and can spare the bit of extra change...the AirPod is pre-assembled, pre-plumbed, and pre-tested. 4 bolts, 3 wires, 4 airline connections.
      If you need to hide the components, if you have time to spend mounting components, running airlines and wiring [it's not hard at all], and want to save some money...the regular e3 compressor kit is exactly the same components, just not pre-assembled for you. You can save about $400.
      Our customers seem about evenly split...50% go for the AirPod.

      i have the airpod mounted in the trunk....really easy to install and wire....

      I used rubber mounts to mount it on the floor....

      the cover is really disappointing....the screws that come with it do not hold it in place and it rattles like no tomorrow....extremlly annoying....I am about ready to pull it and toss it...

      Hey Bret. I love all of the ride tech stuff, and the people supporting the product. Kinda goofy but I think your strong point is tech support. Yeah!! As nice as the product is and really doesnt need any tech support Im blown away everytime I get on the phone and there is an actually a knowledgeable guy answering the line and wanting to help me out. I dont know who designed that or if its just a fluke because you have a bunch of guys that actually know the product line. What ever it is... It works. Kinda refreashing. You may not even know how many manufactures are disconnected from the customer.

      So anyway, nuff azz kissing. The pod is a nice plug and play system. But..... I did a diff system. Cut ALOT of wires and re-routed them. Used stainless braided hose, not because the lines that were provided were not up to the task, just my own issue.

      Just to clarify...the AirPod components [compressor, tank, solenoids, ECU, etc.] are the same as the regular compressor kit EXCEPT the wiring harness is customized for the AirPod [length and routing]. If you get an AirPod and decide to take it apart and custom mount the stuff...by all means let me replace it with a regular compressor kit that has the longer, universal wiring harness. No need to pay extra for the AirPod and then cut apart the wiring harness to perform a custom install.

      Not sure if this was kinda meant for me but I didnt buy an air pod. I bought the "standard kit" and re-wired it for my needs. Not to say I havent done ALOT of backward building JR
