Sweet choice. How long was the lead time?

FOR EVER!! No that was because once you make the order it is like being a kid again waiting. I want to say it was about 5-6 weeks from the time I finalized what I wanted. I paid in full and then changed my mind on the backspace so I had to do some research and reason I delayed the order to start.

BTW.... Nitto also has a 295/35/20 in the Invo which is 28.1" tall.

yea I saw those and they also have a 305/35r20 but I am not sure if I like that style or look of tire. Kinda looks like something that should be on a BMW or other high end euro or are many others running them? Need to see it on a classic car.

275 on an 8"? thats a full inch under nittos minimum. the 315s are 10.5 min so that wont be an issue and guys run those all the time. that will be some serious bulge on the front though.

id run the nt555 245 or 275 front with the nt555r 305 in the rear. that was my plan until i went 315's.

275/30 vs 35 is a debate i had for a while. the 30 is a little short, but the 35 is a little tall. the 245/35 is just about perfect. i decided to go with the 275/35 and make the mods necessary to make it fit. a little more sidewall, but the suspension has to be lowered a little more which will push the tire even further up into the inner fender.

we'll see how it all works.

Your right I am off on the 275 for the front, need something in the 245-255 range. I need to decide on the rear and then look at the front.

Yes, I need to add that point to the thread in the first post so others understand how I am making these fit. I am going to be building a axle next and the 4.5" backspace will not fit other wise, sticks out the wheel too far. Or maybe Bushwhacker fender cut outs....haha

Those are going to look great on there. Is the car Silver? if so there's a body shop down the road from me and the owner has a silver with black top chevelle and I love it also

It is a off silver kinda green. I bought the car after it had been painted recent and the past owner they screwed up on what it was going to be. OK for me now but my wife and I are thinking either white and satin black combo or grey and satin black, reason I am going ahead and running all the chrome to satin to try my idea before we paint it.

Have you looked at the BFG KDW's? I just got my Rushforth Rated X's - 18X8 and 19X10 and mounted the KDW's on them. Went with 245/40/18 front and 295/35/19 rear.
They look sweet. My car is still in the build process but you get the idea. Sorry for teh crappy cell phone pics.


Just got the Moser 4 link and my complete AirRide setup installed last week so it si finally a roller again!

Here is what she looked like before... and will again but with many updates.

Those KDW's are another great looking tire for these classics. They have a 295/40r20 but it's 29.3x11.6...kinda tall. They offer a 285/30r20 if I end up on 285's I was going to possibly use this tire.

Your re-build looks like it will be pretty bad ass, your not far from me. I hope to see it one day at a show or meet

Yeah I will pm you. I am looking for a tko too so maybe we can leverage that and save a few bucks. I have been getting all my part from Matts. They have really been taking care of me.

I really like it, going to get the tires mounted tomorrow and make some room in the wheel well by rolling/cutting the outer fender lip.

-Rushforth Rated X (Machine lip w/satin black face) 19x8 5" BS

Rear
- Nitto NT555r 305/35r20 (28.58x12.16)
- Rushforth Rated X (Machine lip w/satin black face) 20x10 4.5" BS

The car will settle down a inch or more in the front when I drive it again but this is for the time being until my new rear 9" axle gets here, but over all this is the stance I am aiming for.

I love the 70's. I have had 3 in the past. Do you have any build info for the car? My last one had Bear brakes w\ Hotchkis TVS. It was Great!!

3rd member will be loaded with a "Wavelock" posi and 3.90 gears to mate up to a TKO600 5-speed.
