      Difference between L92 and LS3

What are the main differeces between a L92 and LS3? Swapping out old for new. Engine is for a 69 Camaro.

L92 - VVT (variable valve timing) and big ugly truck intake
LS3 - No VVT and has better looking car intake

I have the L92 myself. I wanted to take advantage of the VVT, so I kept it and put the LS3 car intake on it.

Yeah. They weren't available when I bought mine, and you still probably would want to do away with the DOD (displacement on demand) that comes on the L99. I bought a L92 crate and went to Mast for parts.

You're right. I forgot about that being different too.

I know the VVT engines have different water pumps, and the L92 has the huge intake.

If it has not been modified, it should look like the first pic.

      LS3

L92 (Should be the easiest to spot with the intake and VVT truck water pump)

L99 (underneath should be the same looking intake as the LS3)
