A little trick with any red thats not a candy or custom color that takes a certain base under it is to put down a bright yellow base,, like whats called chrome yellow or daytona yellow,,the brightest you can get before putting on the red base,,it makes it really pop,,dont know why but it does. use it under any red base and see the difference. try a panel with the yellow and one without, using the same red base,,then clear them and look at them outside.

If you want the brightest red, Ford Performance Red ,can be found on 93 Cobra or Ranger Splash,it looks almost like a florescent marker, but if you want the brightest red that's rich without looking orange in bright sunlight, Porsche Guards Red ,

Obviously there are many choices when it comes to candy colors, just keep in mind, it's not going to be easy or cheap to match a candy color, if you have a mishap, but it's alot easier to mix a solid color for touch up and spot repair.

Guess I kinda screwed you out of the yellow huh! Sorry!

Below is a car we painted a couple years ago. We been on hold waiting for econimics to improve and just this weekend I got the go ahead to finish it. We are very excited. it is a super cool car with a LS7, Bowler 4l65E with Steve Os paddle shifter and converter. All DSE everything. Going to be a sick puppy.

      Color.

      Ferrari

      Corso Russo Red!

Best red I have ever seen.

I would not be worried about not using it because someone else did. I have some ideas for this color I will share with you.

vw salsa, or the one im going with; mercedes mars red. both are a little darker, but they are more classy and less in your face.

Use a straight mixing color. For ppg, dmd 654.mix it as a base,
or use 654 concept single stage, then clear it.That gives
incredible depth. So it stays pure red,use a white sealer.
