Who makes/sells a front drive system

      With brackets only..
Senario.. ls2 dropout from a GTO... 67 camaro...

Have Vintage air polished compressor... wouldn't mind avoiding the frame notching and move the compressor up.

So I was thinking just by a new setup

We have the Kwik brackets. Only one I know of that uses a 508 compressor. Everything else uses the SD7.

I thought since he has a VA compressor the Wegner would work.. I was thinking of emailing you about getting a quote for a VA Gen IV setup and Wegner kit...

Can you get just the brackets for the Frontrunner system?

In your case we would delete the A/C compressor from the VA order since the compressor is coming with the Wegner drive. Make a few other adjustments to the order, and it works out perfect and you do not end up paying double for a compressor.

The standard compressor from Vintage Air is a 508. The SD7 is a possible upgrade if it was requested when ordered. If you just bought the system would think VA or your dealer will exchange it for you.

      The Box says Sandeen SD5

Perhaps someone from VA can help me the VA serial number is 0051161.
I dont have a dealer I purchased this form another member here, they only used it for Moc Up.

Also anyone know if the SD5 can be used with the OEM ls2 GTO bracket?

notch it get a sd7 compressor. then get a corvette accessory system w/ac. then get va adaptor for sd7 to that accy system. thats what i did and it works great. you can sell the corvette factory compressor. still alot cheaper than a vintage air serp or others, although i would rather have one.

There is a SD5 adapter but it forces you into a huge frame notch. Get a quick bracket for it and learn to love it!

Hifi, I am not aware of a SD7 adapter to a factory bracket. How makes that?

vintage air makes a bracket($90 bucks, rip off) that lets a sd508 (i stand corrected, sorry) mount where the factory corvette acc compressor does. plus, it runs off of its own belt.

Looks like a good option but I dont follow how the belt would work.. you mention its own belt but.. not sure how that would go

No worries HiFi. Reason I asked is my part request at the VA dealer meeting was for a SD7 adapter bracket. The 508 is REALLY big in that location and with some motor plates will interfere with the motor mounts.

      VA part number is 141804-MCA

Also HIF what engine mount's, frame mount and engine plates are you using? I have the ATS plates which may make this a bigger problem
